This historic building has served the Village of Munsonville since 1819...
first as a Baptist Church, then a Unitaritan Chrurch, a Union Hall that also hosted
dances, shows, occasional religious meetings, Sunday School sessions
and the Granite Lake Grange #115.
Chapel by the Lake (UMC) was purchased by the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1891
and remains a community meeting place for AA, joggers, knitters, the Granite Lake Association,
the Granite Lake District, Munsonville's shared Defibulator (AED), and
weekly worship serving a small, diverse faith community from Munsonville, Nelson, and Stoddard.
The Munsonville community graciously helps preserve the integrity
of this historic building by supporting:
lavish community breakfasts, annual Yard Sale, AppleFest and Craft Fair, Cupcake Spectacular...
and through direct donations. We are blessed... indeed!
